Spumco Doodles

I've done tons of John K./Spumco doodles over the years, and now I've decided to post some of the ones I like. Here are the more recent ones and I'll post more soon. You'll see Ren, Stimpy, George Liquor, Jimmy Sody Pop, Cigarettes the Cat, and much more.

*UPDATE*
Here are the rest of the doodles like I've promised. Enjoy.

George Liquor Puppet Sketches

These are some sketches of George Liquor (American) as a puppet, based on these great photos from John K's blog. (The original post)
I'm also thinking about cleaning up these sketches.

George Liquor was created by John K.

Bugs Bunny Cover - Finished

The finished drawing based on the comic cover. My drawing looks okay, but there's still some tweaking to do.

Cartoon Weasel/ Bugs Bunny Cover WIP

(Inks)
(Roughs)
I did these cartoony weasels recently, cuz I've been wanting to do them for a long time. Of course, I took inspiration from "Wind and the Willows," "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," and one of my all-time favorite video games, "Conker's Bad Fur Day." I think they look okay, however the weasel on the right looks like the Tex Avery wolf a little. I plan to do more. They can also be viewed at my Deviantart page.

Plus, I'm currently working on another comic book cover from John K.'s blog.
Oh Bugs, that old con man! :)

This is my improved version of the Donald Duck cover, based on John K.'s critique.

Here's my previous attempt.

Andes Donald

Another one of John's lessons, I copied one of the comic book covers he posted. This of course is of Donald Duck from Barks's "Lost in the Andes!" Critiques are welcome.

Inked Stimpy

I've made this little drawing of Stimpy yesterday and decided to ink it with my new Faber-Castell Brush pen. This particular pose and look was inspired by a Vincent Waller drawing from Spum-Blog. Personally, I feel the inking could've been better, but I've taken helpful advice from Katie Rice and John K. about good inking/cleanup. Any additional tips/critiques are welcome. And Happy New Year.

My inked version can also be viewed on my DeviantArt Page.

Elmer Fudd Traced Construction

Hi folks. Here is some more of my Clampett/McKimson exercises. As I figured out my construction via tracing in my last post, surprisingly, John K. had described a similar, less complicated way on his blog.  He talked about tracing the construction in Photoshop and adding the details by eye. Of course, I only printed mine off the computer, but it's still the same thing. For now, I'll try this method to see where it takes me. I'll just have to remember to stop tracing after the construction's done. Critiques and tips are welcome.
